How old were you when you realized that you wanted to be a wrestler?

Since I was about 6 or 7 I have loved wrestling, but it wasn't until I was 18 and had grown to 6'5 and weighed 240lbs, that I felt there was an actual real possibility of becoming a pro wrestler.

Who are your favorite wrestlers to work with in the indys?

Wildman Austin, Kurrgan, Custom Made Man, Chi Chi Cruz, Joe. E Legend and of course Kingman. In general 99% of the guys I've had the opportunity to work with were great. Others like the Cuban, and the Beast were not only a lot of fun but also very helpful in teaching me this business. I also enjoyed working with Leo Burke, and picking his brain whenever I could.

Who do you think has most earned their spot in the big 3 today?

Steve Austin no doubt, people don't remember Stunning Steve in WCW and Steve paying his dues in the Indy's. He's earned everything he has today.

Would you ever work for GPW again?

Maybe, under the right conditions though. Things would have to be a lot different than last time. The same business arrangement wouldn't work for me at this point in my career.

Why wouldn't Emile want you to work with GPW again?

Emile thinks that myself and Kingman joined R.A.W to put him out of business. Not the case. However, we are wrestlers we have to wrestle to make a living. Since he doesn't run in the winter we went with R.A.W. He has never personally told me, but GPW buddies of mine told me he often said Kingman and I would never work for him again. If so he's only hurting his own show.

What are some of the differences between wrestling for GPW and RAW?

The difference between RAW and GPW is that in RAW you are given complete creative control over your character. You wear what you want and wrestle your own style. This was pretty much dictated in GPW. Don't get me wrong though, I learned a lot in GPW. I'm just ready to head towards the future. RAW wants to build up wrestling in the maritimes. GPW it seems (maybe I'm wrong) just wants to get by until Rene can either move up or until he's done.

What do you think about the state of wrestling in the maritimes?

Too many small companies will be running in the summer of 2001. Buddy Lane has now opened Eastern Championship Wrestling, Mike Zinc has a new promotion, Mainstream has a crappy promotion and then GPW. This will lead to a bunch of watered down shows instead of the best wrestlers all being on one show. So far Mike Zinc's sounds like the better summer promotion. (RAW only runs in the winter and spring for now). The Kowboy might even show up for Zinc. At RAW they have access to all the best talent because no one else is running shows in the winter. This makes for the best shows in the maritimes.

What are your thoughts on Backyard Wrestling?

My thoughts on backyard wrestling is that it is the shits. All it does is give the fans a bad view of what some may mistake as pro wrestling. Backyard wresting is a large reason why some indy circuit towns no longer want wrestling anymore. People go pay money believing they are going to see professionals and then leave disappointed and never go to see live wrestling again. It is also dangerous. Untrained wrestling has led to many life threatening injuries in the past and even death. If you want to be a pro wrestler fine but go get trained by a pro, and one that has experience.
